Capitol Hill (Northeast DC).

Capitol Hill is home to the United States Capitol, Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. There’s a large concentration of 19th-century rowhomes, boutique hotels, and it’s well-known for the redbrick Eastern Market that is charmingly vibrant on the weekends, filled with local food vendors and art makers.

Dupont Circle (Northwest DC).

Dupont Circle is one of DC’s most popular and historic neighborhoods. It’s known for its convenient location, independent art galleries, globally-inspired restaurants, and buzzing nightlife. Art lovers can experience America’s first museum of modern art, while the internationally-minded can trek through Embassy Row.

Georgetown (Northwest DC).

This historic area draws visitors for its quaint cobblestone streets, the peaceful C&O Canal, boutique shops, luxurious hotels, and European flair. The neighborhood is home to a wide-ranging retail scene while history buffs can tour stunning 18th and 19th-century mansions or see the one-time homes of JFK and Julia Child. Head to the Georgetown Waterfront Park for kayaking, jogging, and cycling.

Arlington, VA.

Arlington is home to the Arlington National Cemetery, the final resting place for 400,000 active duty members. The county also holds the U.S. Air Force Memorial and the U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial. Nearby Alexandria boasts cobblestone streets, colonial buildings, and buzzing dining + shopping scenes. A few miles away, visit Mount Vernon, the home of America’s first president, George Washington.
