Kelly

Kelly was born in Columbus, Ohio. He moved to Washington D.C. in 2013. Since then he’s grown as a teacher and a “multipotentialite”. He loves experiencing new things, diving in with both feet (see: forest bathing, model UN, or mtn biking in Banff with Sheri for date #3). He is often dreaming of new places to ski and to travel.

SHERI

Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Sheri is a world traveler at heart and proudly calls Washington D.C. home. A Howard alum and U.S. Air Force Officer, she is beautiful, intelligent, and never far from an adventure. Sheri loves to swim + bike + run, tend to her plants, and spoil her 3-year old Stella-bear (the most perfect pup) ❤️

Our Story

On a very hot summer day in the District, Sheri and Kelly shared a coffee-turned-dinner date at a local spot. At first, Kelly was so worried about being sweaty he forgot to ask Sheri if she was hungry enough for dinner. Luckily, Sheri knew this restaurant had amazing gluten-free pasta. She made it clear she was going to order food (even if it meant carry-out) and Kelly then made it clear he wanted her to stay. 🤍

The two bonded over their love of God, travel, the outdoors, endless adventure, and football. They have since made so many special memories with family and friends while hosting in DC and traveling across North America (including exploring beautiful Lake Louise together).

In March 2023, Kelly popped the question after making Sheri believe they were off to see a ballet at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts… only there was no ballet! Just a gorgeous view of the city and the most special proposal surrounded by their family.
